| About us | Weifang kite arts research and exchange association is a non-governmental organization which is engaged in the research and exchange about the kite arts. It is a member unit of china arts and crafts association, shandong arts and crafts association. It is also a specialized commitlee of kite arts in shandong arts and crafts association. The association aims at succeeding and developing chinese traditional culture, exchanging and spreading the arts of kite culture, pushing forward the development of china kite industry. On the basis of china traditional kite arts, the association combine the high-technology with the traditional crafts organically, and at the same time invented the new products continuosly, strengthened the kite culture and arts exchange in order to enrich people's culture and ants life, to promote folk culture arts exchange and local economic development. After establishment, the association invited and took in famous masters in arts and crafts, specialists in air dynamics, ranking members and kite star from weifang kite circles, who came from the domestic kite circle, arts and crafts circle, the aeronautics and astronautics departments such as shandong arts college, beijing university of aeronautics and astronautics. Thus the speciatist contingent and the whole quality of the association have reached a higher leve. With the help of kite fans and personalities of various circles home and abroad, the association launched a wide rang of foreign exchange activities. During the recent years, the association organized unprecedentedly'the great march activity of weifang kite arts along the yellow river and yangtze'in the history of china kite, constructed the first large-size kite arts exhibition hall--guiyang'china kite arts exhibition hall', held the largest scale'the first shanghai--weifang kite arts festival''the first hangzhou west lake--weifang kite arts festival''nanjing--weifang kite arts festival''guangxi nanning--weifang kite arts exhibition''xian--weifang kite arts exhibition'and'taiyuan--weifang kite arts exhibition'. In addition, the association had held kite arts exhibitions for many times and performed activities of flying kites in zhengzhou, ningbo, jinan and so on. The association is a more active organization which is engaged in the study of kite arts theory and activites of kite arts exchange at present in china. The association wishes to extensively exchange and cooperate with all the friends of different circles home and abroad.
