About us | Established in 1977, our company has reached many honorable milestones: in the 1980's, when the chain market was still fiercely competitive with several key players, KMC was chosen to be the original equipment manufacture for Shimano HG, IG and UG chain series. Accordingly, this technological cooperation and partnership is still in place today. Furthermore, after a decade since our initial foundation, KMC has grown into one of the world's largest chain providers. KMC worldwide has 7 factories today, including two in Taiwan, four in China (two of which are in Shenzhen and Shanghai), and one in Vietnam. Throughout our factory network, we employ at total global staff of 4,600 people. Correspondingly, we possess fully automated production equipment and a highly qualified quality control staff, which allowed us to passed ISO9001certification. As a result, our company now shares nearly 60% of the world chain market, with an annual production capacity of 78 million sets.
