Borax is an important material for glass,enamel,cermics,nonferrous metal,metallurgical industry,etc. Borax is both soft and light colorless translucent crystals or white crystalline powder. In the chemical composition, it is contains 10 water molecules, four sodium borate. Borax odorless, taste salty.
Soluble in water, glycerine, slightly soluble in alcohol, aqueous solution weakly alkaline. Borax in the air can be slowly weathering, melting into a colorless glassy substance.
Application: fertilizer,in the manufacture of optical glass, enamel and enamel raw materials.
