Specifications: Deejays choice is the latest compilation by mjm of hot roots and culture hits with rhythms from the 70s era to today, by reggae singer, producer R. Zee jackson, who has three of his own tracks on the CD.

The producers of the individual tracks are renowned and established masters in the roots reggae business, which include bunny lee, mike brooks, lee perry, fat man.

This sixteen track compilation features a mix of previously released and unreleased material by some of the veterans in the business such as johnny osbourne, dennis alcapone, carl dawkins, jah lloyd, mike brooks, barry brown, love roy, king soloman and earl morgan.

The younger artists include lazer current, UFO and queen omega - the sole woman on this compilation, who holds her own with unapologetic lyrics and attitude. There is the recurring theme of choosing not to follow the babylon system and the rewards for going against the system and consequences of going with the system.

This CD is a message-music CD which gives off some strong positive vibes but still yet has some very catchy rhythms, that anyone can dance to, which can become staples at any roots session.
