United States Abr Alarm System

The Problem To Be Solved: Due to increased crime rates in many heavily populated urban and residential areas throughout the country, many homeowners and apartment building owners add safety bars to the exterior of the building\'\'s windows as a security measure to prevent burglars or other intruders from breaking the glass and easily getting inside the home.

However, in the event of fires or other emergencies, these safety bars can be difficult to open, and can even prevent residents from quickly exiting, inadvertently trapping them inside.

Since most fire victims die from inhalation of smoke and toxic gases, and not as a result of actual burns, not being able to open the safety bars on a window fast enough can be fatal.

The ABR System : Unique Features & Benefits: The Safety Security Window Locking Device is an electronic lock for a window guard or security gate, which can detect smoke at a remote location and automatically release the guard prior to the heat building up at the guard location.

The guard is released only when a signal is received from a smoke or gas detector, allowing the individual inside the building to easily push open the guard and climb out. To date, there have been no specific electronic locks which attach to a window, wall or security gate. The Safety Security Window Locking Device design is simple and uncomplicated.

It can be made to fit any window or other entry area and permits multiple window guards to be released by a single smoke detector. The first part of the Safety Security Window Locking Device attaches to the edge of the window or wall guard, while the second part is securely attached to the window frame.

Then the electronic lock is electrically connected to the smoke or gas detector. A battery back-up power supply provides electrical power to the smoke detector and latching means. However, the Safety Security Window Locking Device can also be manually activated with an emergency switch.
