This kit uses indirect-competition method mainly based on the immunological reaction between specific antigen and antibody. Sulfa specific antigen coated on microtiter plates competes binding sites of enzyme-labeled Sulfa specific antibody with added calibrator (or sample).

With TMB chromogenic substrate, the absorbance value was negatively correlated with residues of Sulfa. Under the calibration curve, Sulfa content of the sample can be quantified multiplied by the corresponding compare dilution. Detectable samples Sulfa residue can be quantitative of tissue and honey.
