Product Description
This portable device is used on board ship tankers, for collecting sample of the cargo in the tank. The TSS-01 sampler has a tape to indicate the depth of the sampling layer, and can take samples where there are likely emulsion concentration inside the oil.
TSS-01 has a built-in valve to collect the sample without removing the entire barrel of the sampler from the deck valve. It prevents vapor from escaping from the tank inert gas layer and is a no-spill and no mess method to obtain samples.
The sample bottle has a foot valve which opens when the bottle is lowered into the tank and cargo liquid fills in But when the tape is rewind, the sampling bottle lifts up the filled liquid and shuts the foot valve, retaining its contents to be taken out of the tank and susequently drained into a sampling container for analysis.
All the wetted parts are made of Stainless Steel Grade 316 material and has safety features such as grounding clamps to ground all electro-static charges if present while the tape is lowered into the tank through the gauging station valve.
