Modified starch et-70 is an oxidize starch of low viscosity suitable for paper& board industry. Moisture: Max 14%(oven 105 c,4 hours)ash : Below 1% D. S :0.020% - 0.025% Ph :5 ~ 7 Brightness: Min 90% Brookfield viscosity:40 cps ~ 45 cps Application: Paper surface sizing in size press.

In this application the fibers on the surface of the paper are glued and covered with a starch film. This gives the paper better writing and printing properties. The pressure the size press rolls induces the solution to penetrate the mass of the paper, which improved the mechanical properties of the paper.
