Metal hardware is a vital part of electronic assembly production. Such as case / enclosure, heatsink, fastener, panels etc, which are usually made by mechanical process of metal raw material by various equipments in room temperature, so as to ensure it is best suit to shape and dimension we want.

Following are the three most commonly used mechanical processes for producing metal parts:·Metal extrusion: This process is done by putting metal raw material in the cold extrusion mould, then stressing the extrusion mould by the compressive pressure machine.

In this way, the metal raw material will be squeezed by the extrusion mould, so as to form a model with our required shape and dimension.

Metal extrusion has various directional stress methods, such as positive extrusion, reverse extrusion, radial extrusion (centripetal extrusion, centrifugal extrusion), and combined extrusion.·Metal forging: This process is done by stressing the metal raw material in the forging mould with hammer head, hammering block, punching head of the forging machines, so as to ensure the metal raw material is deformed and forged in the shape and dimension we required.·Metal stamping: It is also called sheet stamping.

This process is done by stamping machine and mould, so as to ensure the metal sheet is sheared and formed a part that best suit to our required shape and dimensions.·Metal die casting: This process is done by die casting mould and die forging machine.

Its basic process flow is to melt the metal raw material, then the fluid metal flow into and fill the die casting mould. The die casting mould has an active cavity which stress along with the fluid metal cooling down process, so as to eliminate the crinkling and shrinking defects of the raw material.

In the meantime, it will break up the raw material internal structure into crystallite, which general mechanical strength of the raw material will be improved significantly.
