Specifications: NAR-SHIELD is a water conditioners, multifunctional liquid for cooling water treatment that contains no chromates or heavy metals and is therefore envionmentally safe. NAR-SHIELD offers dispresion as well as scale and corrosion control in one simple-to-use chemical. NAR-SHIELD utilizes polymer and phosphonates for scale control.
Corrosion control is maintained by the formation of a protective film on metal surfaces. NAR-SHIELD also contains dispersants and peptizing agents to keep heat transfer surfaces free of insoluble materials such as silt, sand and air-borne dirt particles. Continuous type treatment with NAR-SHIELD recommended in all cases for maximum results.
The average treating rate for NAR-SHIELD is 20-50 ppm, although higer rates may be required under severe conditions.
