India Wooden Tiled Sideboard

Specifications: The side boards are descendents of the portugese influence in india. They are sourced from coastal gujarat and are usually teak. They are suorced from those loyal subjects of monarchial india where they were prdominantely gifted to subjects by kings of small kingdoms.

Most of the pieces are dated early 1900 and the interesting thing about them is the ceramic tiles that are of either english or mostly japanese origin. The average sizes come from a mimimum 150 cms. To 220 cms long with 3 to six doors. The peices vary in design coming also with drawers on the top and or in the bottom.

Many pieces have secret drawers under the base shelf. While most pieces are teak, we also find pieces with teak fronts and mango wood sides/shelves and back. We restore many pieces to open the top( flip able ) where there is about 12 cms interior space to be used as storage.

The tiles on the top or the sides are sometimes removed and refitted with teak panels to present a more sublime product. We car replicate most pieces
