Gabion Box Gabions boxes are wire containers made of hexagonal wire netting. Wire diameter varies with the hexagonal nettings. For hexagonal wire netting with no pvc coating, the wire diameter ranges from 2.0mm to 4.0mm. For those PVC coated hexagonal wire netting, the outside diameter ranges from 3.0mm to 4.0mm.

The wire of the outside frame edge is one wire gauge thicker than the wire used for hexagonal wire netting.

Gabion Mats Gabion Mats can be made of hexagonal double- twisted mild steel wire mesh. Mattresses can be supplied in various length, widths and height. The tolerances of mattress' dimensions are ±3% in length, ±3% in width and ±2.5cm n height. In order to strengthen the mattresses, all the edges of the mattress are selvedged with a wire of greater diameter.

Gabion Mats has a hexagonal mesh with the opening of 80x100mm with 2.5mm mesh wire and 3.0mm selvedge wire diameter.

All gabions and mattresses are supplied with the baskets and are used to lace together the mesh panels during the erection process. Mattresses and gabion baskets are also available with a 0.5mm thickness P.V.C. coating to enhance the resistance of the baskets to corrosion. This provides an overall increase in diameter of 1mm to all wires used in the manufacturing process.

The river mattress is a structure made of hexagonal double twisted wire mesh. River mattresses are filled with stones at the project site to form flexible and permeable, monolithic structures such as river bank protection and channel linings for erosion control.

Surface treatment of gabion mattress: The woven steel wire used to manufacture the mattress is heavily zinc-coated soft temper steel.

Gabion Mesh Sack Sack gabions consist of a single mesh panel and are supplied with steel reinforcing wires inserted during the manufacturing process. The wire used in the manufacture of the sack gabion is heavily zinc coated soft temper steel.

Sack gabions are filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures used for emergency and river training works where local conditions require fast installation or where the water does not allow for easy access to the site and where underwater installation is necessary.

The following are the model pictures of installing: Gabion cage is a columniform bag woven by double hexagonal nettings, which is to tht standard of ASTM A975-97, and there is a piece of thick wire for belding to close the opening. When it is used, its filled with selected stones to make a stable building material with good water permeability to prevent or control flood.
