The unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin and ethylene ester resin are used usually.Unsaturated polyester resin viscosity is small, the infiltration performance is good, the air bubble is easy to eliminate, the gelatin time may regulating control according to the requirement, the craft performance is the best, the comparative price is also low, therefore the rigidity is lower compared to epoxy resin, the solidification shrinkage rate is also big, but it still applied widely.Epoxy resin bond stress is better, it is used in high strength frp products.

But the viscosity is high, the technology performance isn't good, the price is also expensive. The vinyl resin is applied widely because of its superior anti-corrosive and heat resistance in the anticorrosion domain. Others includes phenolic resin, furan resin and some high performance resin.

The phenolic resin is regarded because of its superior is a character bonding product of glass fiber and organic resin.

Therefore the frp products have outstanding characters such as high intensity,light weight,corrosion resistance and good insulation which the glass fiber has, the performance is good as well as metal fiberglass is cemented in organic resin, it could not friction directly and also not flexing, so it avoids the big brittleness, not wear-resisting, not folding endurance.
