DSIP (Delta Sleep-inducing Peptide) is a neuropeptide found in the hypothalamus, pituitary, and adrenal glands. Its isolation has allowed for extensive research which has found several possible primary and peripheral roles of this peptide. First, DSIP has been shown to induce sleep.
