Carbon electrode paste is used by the aluminum industry, ferro-alloy industry and calcium carbide industry as an electrode in energy intensive furnaces or reduction cells.

The carbon electrode paste gets baked with the heat generated by the electric current that passes through it while in process and melts, forming a hard compact and homogeneous block of carbon.
