Properties & Applications:

Barium Stearate is a colorless transparent liquid with a slight ester fragrance. It will not decomposite when distilled. In the presence of trace acid or base, its hydrolysis will speed up althought it is much slower than the hydrolysis of organic silicon haloganide. It is mainly used in the synthesis of organic silicone polymer and organic silicone resin. More than that, it is surface treatment agent, coupling agent, cross-linking agent, etc, for example Mica high temperature adhesives and raw materials of the glazing agent of high-grade printing products. It is waterproof agent for building materials and thermal products, for example: bubble asbestos, silicate composite panels, pipe, carpet and perlite products. It can aslo form raw materials of organic silicone materials.

Properties:
Barium Stearate is White amorphous powder with the melting point higher than 225 . It is toxic and soluble in benzene, toluene and other non-polar solvents. It is insoluble in water and ethanol. In the heating of organic solvents, it dissolve into a jelly. It can absorb water and has no sulfer contaminativity.
