Abderrahim worked with the Arab Bank Limited in England and in Jordan between 1985 and 1987. He also worked as an Economy Editor with Jerusalem Star Newspaper in Jordan for nine months. Between April 10, 1988 and April 10, 1998, Rasim Abderrahim held the position of a Senior Economic/Commercial Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan throughout the ten-year period.
