Tcs started embryonically in september 1994 as the CAD arm of hw associates ltd. A company started in 1986 from the liquidation of head wrightson, a major engineering company, much of whose engineering expertise and background was retained by hw associates ltd.
Tcs was initially involved in providing CAD bureau services such as CAD draughting and design, scanning and paper to paper CAD conversion. This developed into software and hardware reselling mainly associated with CAD activities, establishing dealerships with oce, gtx, rasterex, hewlett packard, computer 2000 and northamber.
The relative success of these CAD bureau and sales activities encouraged more formal expansion into limited company in june 1997, and a simultaneous decision to obtain an autodesk dealership. Today, tcs is well known national supplier of CAD and graphics equipment and contract supplier of a number of local govt. Authorities and well established companies.
