Meigao Co. was founded in 1993 as a silica gel manufacturer. At that time there were only 40 employees in the factory, and with only several kinds of silica gel pro-ducts, 200 MT production capacity per year. Mr. Yong
zhao Li, the founder of the factory is an expert in silica gel manufacturing field. Graduated from Qingdao Chemical College at the age of 23, Li began to work in a state-owned Chemical Inc. Haiyang. First a worker, then a technician, then a manager of a sub-branch plant. Li has engaged himself in silica gel manufacturing for nearly 20 years since his graduation.
In 1993, Mr. Li began to establish his own silica gel manufacturing plant, the company grew out of nothing, and by and by, now (March 8,2001)
the factory has grown up to be a leading producer of silica gel products in China, as well as in Asia. It occupies 173,333 square meters in area; 1300 employees now are working for the factory; 35,000 MT of silica gel are manufactured in this factory annually.
Meigao Co. now serves customers worldwide, such as the clients in the
U.S.A, Japan, UK, Germany, and the countries in the Southeast Asia, and the company has been commended by customers for the high quality of its
products.
We also maintain intensive contacts with Qingdao Ocean University,
Qingdao Chemical University, China Scientific University, Tianjin Chemical Academe and some other research institutes. A Research department of New Products Development has been set up in the factory and our engineers are keeping close eyes to the newly development of the world silica gel field.
All of these have enabled Meigao Co. manufacture a wide variety of desiccants, humidity indicators, Beer Silica Gel, HPLC, Column Chromatography,
Water-proof Silica Gel and other silica gel products, etc.
