Jiangsu SUYA International Transport Co., Ltd (hereinafter called SUYA) was established in November 1995 and registered in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, with registered assets of 9.5 million RMB. SUYA is mainly in the business of undertaking international goods transportation on sea, land and air transportation basis including booking goods, booking space, storage, transfering, container vaning and devanning , freight charges settlement, customs clearance, inspection,insurance, relating short-distance transport service and consulting business. SUYA also deals in international express. It is a private-owned company.

After 6 years of continuous development, SUYA has developed to a certain scale of business as follows:

1. In Jiangsu port, we handles 1,200 TEU containers on monthly basis and the anneal turnover is 80 million RMB. SUYA has its own customs clearance broker house and container transportation vehicles.

2. SUYA has cooperated and signed agency agreements with up to 20 foreign shipping companies, such as APL, P&O NEDLLOYD, CMA, HANJIN, OOCL, ZIM, EVERGREEN MARINE CORPORATION, UNIGLORY MARINE CORPORATION etc.

3. SUYA launches barge transportation on route of Yangtze River at a fixed time and ship transport per week. We exchange cabins with China Foreign Shipping Yangtze River Company. Our barges shuttles three times a week along the cities as Nanjing, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Zhangjiagang, Changzhou, Nantong, Shanghai port, etc. We also deal in shipping transfer businesses .

4. Approved by National Foreign Economic and Trade Ministry, SUYA is allowed to set up branch companies in Beijing, Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Changzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Shamen, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. These branch companies are now been under construction and the business scopes are the same as SUYA Headquarters. After branches establishment, SUYA will come to form a complete network across the costal ports and they will contribute to the future development of SUYA. In addition, SUYA has established its representative offices in Jiangsu major ports, such as Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Zhangjiagang, Nantong.

5. SUYA adopts information technology to manage its business. 90% of its employees received high level of education and SUYA attaches great importance on training of its employees. SUYA has also cooperated and developed management software with software companies in order to realize e-business automatic office processing and efficiently manage its branch companies.

However, SUYA still has some space to be improved for further development .

1. SUYA lacks of network in foreign destinations to support its air transport, express, and sea transport business.

2. Shortage of capitals. In China port business, the customers often pay fees within three months, however SUYA has to pay the transport expenses to Shipping companies within one month. Given each branch company pay fees 2 million RMB in advance, SUYA has to have 40 million flow capitals for the business accounting for its more than 10 branch companies. At present, it is difficult for Chinese private-owned enterprises to get loans from Banks.

As we said above, SUYA has developed a certain scale of business with its own characteristics. However, SUYA still has a long way to go.
