Anwar Group is one of the leading conglomerate of Bangladesh. The Chairman, Mr. Anwar Hossain, is the former legislator (Member of Parliament) of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.

The core of our business remains in Manufacturing of Composite Textile & Garments, Steel Sheets, Building Materials, Reinforced Rods, Portland cement, Electrical Cables and Wires, Kitchen Utensils, Tableware, Silverware, and Jute & Linen Yarns.

Besides, we are invloved in the Financial Sector, having to schedule commercial banks, a leasing company, and a general insurance company. The City Bank Limited is the first private commercial bank in Bangladesh, and now have a nationwide braches numbering to 76. Mr. Anwar Hossain is one of the founder director and has served this bank as a Chairman for a number of years. The Board of Directors of Anwar Group are now the directors of City Bank Ltd. and Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd.

We have also established a private university, City University, a college and a school.
