SC-LD Top Discharging Decanter centrifuge
When the centrifuge is in full-speed operation,the suspension liquid uniformly enters the hole-less rotary drum,and under the action of the centrifugal force field,the materials are divided into two phases--liquid and solid.The solid phase forms a sediment layer closely on the wall of the drum,while the liquid phase forms clarifying liquid in the inner layer of the drum. The machine can be used for the solid-liquid separation of the suspension with fine particles of solid phase, great viscosity and low concentration, which has difficulty in regenerating filter medium and whose solid phase specific gravity is bigger than its liquid phase. Thus, the machine is often used on the occasion where separation is not easy to attain with centrifugal filtration or clarified effluent is not satisfactory.
A motor drives the basket to rotate, the material being fed into the basket without holes. Under the centrifugal force, the heavier solid phase sinks on the walls of the basket as a layer of cake and the lighter liquid phase forms inner liquid ring. The clarifying inner liquid ring can outflow the lip ring and then the basket, and it also can be led out of the basket in its rotation with a skimming pipe, while the solid phase is discharged manually from the top of the basket after the machine stops.
