PVC is a macromolecule compound formed from the VCM polymerizing, its framework unit(-CH2-CHCl-)n，n is the polymerization degree，commonly under 590-1500. During polymerization process，because of the influence of the polymerization technology、reaction condition、reactant composing 、garniture etc，eight types of PVC resin can be produced, and which have different capability.
The classification of PVC resin according to the chloroethylene content is：industry degree、food degree、sanitation degree three class.
appearance：white powder or white particulate，the average density：1.40g/cm2。

PVC resin is a general synthetic resin，applying widely，used in PVC rigid products、soft products、dope and bond producing or processing . It can classify as follows according to its application fields.
a) construction material：feed and drain pipe、tubes、board、novel type material etc.
b) wrapper：foodstuff、tobacco packing film.
c) electron equipment：such as wire、cable、adhesive tape、bolt etc.
d) furniture、ornament materials.
e) else：such as motor material、medical instrument etc.
