One of the new designers in Australia cutiepye handmade, by Terese, specializes in smocked christening wear, smocked communion wear and smocked children special occasion flower girl gowns and day wear.
All hand made, all lined with extensive hand embroidery on every gown, which makes every gown unique and special to have. We have recreated Victorian heirlooms and gowns that bring back from a bygone era that special gown that are a treasure to have.
The summer and spring range of soft cotton, satin and silk heirloom and heritage designs are exquisite. All with the modern look, yet traditional, for the today mum. The range includes, honeycomb, smocked satin or silk with pearls hand sewn in every honeycomb. The designs are many to choose from and stylish and lavish in smocking and hand embroidery and all garments are lined and come with hat and bib.
The boys smocked rompers range from newborn to12M and the boys 2 piece smocked set to the age 6 years.
The designer has a degree in pattern making and assembly and handwork, and a small business degree, Interior decorating, she studied at Granville TAFE for 4 years. The Designer’s name is Therese Davis, for the cutiepye label, and says our creations are many, so you the client have choices in fabric and designs.
The name cutiepye derived from my grandson …so cute now age 6years is still the most cute and handsome little boy.
I began this business 33 years ago just making for friends and relatives. Then one of them suggested I make my designs known by advertising on the web. I have clients in Italy and Greece, France and America now.
I started out by myself and now, 5 ladies have joined my smocking guild and 1 lady that makes crochet christening gowns. If you like to join my team please apply by sending me 1 of you finished garment for inspection…only top class work is accepted, as my designs go national now. Keeping country women who have a special talent working. MY mail go to Sydney now as farm is for sale, but I am still in Goulburn. OPEN DAYS are Thursday and SUNDAYS @ 1643 MT ash RD Bungonia .
