The mission of vigor is to ultimately manufacture plant made pharmaceutical ingredients for pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide. Currently vigor is establishing a cuttings orchard in the kenora area for a sustainable supply of non-timber forest products to supply the raw materials for the future extraction facility proposed for kenora, ontario. This cuttings orchard will supply taxanes or Canada yew/ground hemlock for the extraction of taxanes as used in the fight against breast, ovarian, non-small cell lung cancer as well as kaposis sarcoma in aids related illnesses. At present paclitaxel, a chemotherapeutic regimen used against the above mentioned cancers, is the generic version of taxol as manufactured and distributed by bristol meyers squibb. Bristol meyers hold an estimated 10% market share of worldwide sales of taxol. Vigor biotics, INC. Has obtained the worldwide marketing license to distribute paclitaxel from two separate Chinese based pharmaceutical manufacturers. The biological supply agreement earmarks 20 kilograms of 99.5% purity reference grade paclitaxel to vigor for each year over the next three years. It is anticipated that over the next three years vigor will commence harvesting its own raw materials and will phase out of the importation of paclitaxel and commence manufacturing the product in kenora. These agreements will allow vigor to develop a strong market presence during the start up phase of the company in kenora. Vigor biotics, INC. Has also entered into a consultancy agreement with med services Europe, zurich, Switzerland for the European and middle east marketing of paclitaxel in an effort to expand its client base for future manufacturing and sustainability of the venture. Vigor biotics, INC. Could employ upwards of 100 persons in the proposed operations for the kenora area. Future expansion by vigor is anticipated in the processing of bark from the betula birch or white birch to manufacture the chemical betulin which is the main ingredient in betulinic acid another plant derived chemotherapeutic used in the treatment of breast cancer. With the commencement of operations in kenora will simultaneously involve the certification of the company under the cgmp health Canada guidelines and ISO standards which will make vigor biotics, INC.
