PT Umas Jaya Agrotama( UJA ) is one of the Indonesia largest native Tapioca starch producer with annual output reaches 140,000 tons. The company runs 3 factories located in east and central Lampung province or southern parts of Sumatra island. Furthermore, the company has planted around 1,000 hectars of tapioca crops to support the operation. UJA has a famous domestic KODOK means frog brand. Although UJA is relatively young company, the company has more than 25 years experience for both process and plantation knowledge that passed down by the parent company PT Great Giant Pineapple, the world third largest, who used to operate both pineapple and cassava operation. UJA product has been exported to Japan, Taiwan, Philipine and malaysia. UJA is further seeking to expand market to other Asia country such as China.
