| About us | Twin Hill Paints was founded in the year 1981 as a proprietary unit, which was converted to a privately held company (Corporate) in the year 1995. The plant is located at New Bombay, India. The proximity from the city of Bombay, (now known as Mumbai) about 30 kms from the heart of the town, provides easy access to infrastructure such as port at Bombay. The founder of the company, Sudhir Shah, is technically qualified from North Dakota, USA in the field of Polymers and Coatings in the year 1972. Past Activity The main activity of the company, until the year 1986, was production of thermosetting enamel paints for industrial coatings. The resins such as alkyds and melamine formaldehyde resins were produced within the company. We were the first to develop water-soluble alkyds and water-soluble MF resins, in the year 1986. It was in this year that the paint manufacturing facilities were disposed off and the production of resins became the primary activity of the company. Our Mission Twin Hill is dedicated to innovation and development in the area of resins for coatings powder since 1991. We continually monitor the market and seek feedback from clients so that we can truly provide the type of product and services that the clients desire. Our ranges of polyester resins are very well standardized. We also look forward to meeting with a particular clients specialized requirement, which we can develop for them by working to gether. We could undertake to manufacture on behalf of our customers as per their formulation on exclusive license basis. Our commitment We at Twin Hill are a dedicated team of highly trained committed and qualified individuals always willing to listen to our clients, nurture and maximize to the benefit of each client. Our focus is primarily on quality and service. Polyester resin manufacturing plant: - The most significant part of our polyester resins manufacturing techniques/facilities is the ability to produce consistent quality batch after batch. This involved designing of batch process in detail and mastering of controlling parameters during each stage of production. The installed batch control equipments to monitor the production and provide corrective measure/action enables us to maintain the consistency in every product that leaves our plant. Our present output per batch is about 1250kgs. The annual production capacities are 585 mt/year. Our near future plans include a production of 6000 kg batch size. Twin hill polyester resins Our present range of polyester resins for coatings powder, are free form the raw material TMA (Tri-Mellitic Anhydride) as a source of carboxyl group. Every item in the raw material list is carefully selected in the formulation. The designing of polyester polymer chain, is achieved to induce minimal side chain molecule present in the polymer. The resultant polymer coupled with just right reactivity with epoxy, provides superior flow characteristics in the coatings film. Our ranges of carboxylated polyester resins are designed for hybrid powders in the range of 50/50 60/40 70/30 to react with suitable epoxy resins (Type 3) having EEW in the range of 700-900.
