| About us | For your information Triveni Group (Estb. 1933) is one of the oldest diverse business conglomerates in India with core competencies in the energy, sugar, water and waste water treatment sector. Triveni established itself as Sugar producer way back during 1933 and expanded to 3 major sugar plants in India (at Khatauli, Deoband and Ramkola ) with combined capacity of about 25,000 TCD. This makes Triveni as one of the largest producer of Sugar in India even rivaling entire production of West Indies. It was a natural diversification from sugar to sugar machinery for Triveni. Triveni started the manufacture of sugar mill machinery in the mid 1960s. Over the years, Triveni has extended its capability to design, engineer, manufacture and commission complete sugar plants. Triveni has installed over 45 sugar plants and has carried out major expansion works for over 18 sugar plants. Triveni, through a group company, has collaboration with Sugar Research International, Australia (SRI) to manufacture and market the latest products of SRI in the sugar industry in India. Triveni started the manufacture of steam turbines in 1968, to provide turbines for drive application and power generation. Triveni today manufacturers Steam Turbines in India upto 18 MW capacity. Triveni Steam Turbine range extends over condensing, extraction condensing, back pressure and extraction back pressure types. Today, Triveni has over 2000 installations across a range of industries, which include Bio-mass & Municipal Solid Waste based Independent power plants (IPPs), Captive power plants (CPPs) and Co-generation plants in industries like Sugar, Paper, Textiles, Fertilisers, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Pharmaceutical, Carbon Black, Solvent Extraction, Steel and Naval. With a capacity to produce about 100 turbines a year, Triveni has emerged as the clear market leader (70 % market share) in India in the market segment of capacity upto 18 MW. Apart from Indian market Triveni also supplied turbines to Northern Europe, Africa, Central & Latin America and ASEAN countries thru effective Dealership network. Triveni is the first steam turbine manufacturer in India which is ISO 9000-2000 and ISO 14001 certified. Triveni to-day has shifted the focus from being only the equipment supplier to solution provider in this field. Triveni has the expertise to provide solutions for both heat (steam) and power requirement of any process industry. Triveni started manufacturing the turbines with technical collaboration with Peter Brotherhood of UK about 30 years ago. Through this collaboration TRIVENI had manufactured all models of Peter BrotherhooD turbines up to 6 MW in India and supplied to various industry sector. Later as expansion of activities, TRIVENI entered into a joint venture manufacturing with Alstom of France namely GEC-Alstom Triveni Ltd in 1991 to manufacture of larger Turbines beyond 6 MW. This Joint venture continued till 1998. Through this Joint venture Triveni have manufactured bigger turbines up to 30 MW. For smaller size single stage turbines; Triveni had technical know-how from Terry Inc., USA (now Dresser Rand). The collaboration has now expired but Triveni still continues to manufacture these turbines independently. Triveni, today also packages steam turbines from SKODA Energo of Czech Republic from 20 to 60 MW capacity in India and few Asian countries. |
