| About us | SUMAK ENGINEERS was founded in 1982 by SUHAS JOSHI, a mechanical engineer with a experience in the business of sugar and cement-machinery& equipment, material handling equipment, structural-fabrications for indigenous and export markets, special form-tools and wire-drawing plants. Since the inception SUMAK has catered to the agricultural, defence, textile and automobile industries& various Research& Development establishments by providing advanced technology-based products& solutions and supporting customers in the field of process-automation. With experience and expertise of more than two decades in the field of mechanical engineering, SUMAK has emerged as well-known manufacturer of mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for large-scale automobile and synthetic-yarn industries in India& various Government-sector companies. SUMAK has facilities of PC Based-Turning, Milling, Grinding, Forging, Casting, Tubular-& Sheet-metal press-parts& CO2 - Welding SPMS, and last but not least, its own Tool- Room. With an turnover of Rs.200 Lacs, the group of companies currently uses a force of more than 100 employees, which also includes a team of skilled professional in the fields of mechanical( hydraulics& pneumatics) and electronic-engineering. A brief overview of our areas of experience and expertise: 1. IN TEXTILE INDUSTRIES: SUMAK has successfully implemented its know-how to convert machines from the cold-draw process to hot-draw process in the synthetic-yarn-industries. The company has also developed and manufactured IMPORT SUBSTITUTES required by the textile industries. Besides this, the company has also been able to meet the sophisticated requirements of the hi-tech products such as high-speed sub- assemblies and stationary accessories, which are necessary for ensuring the quality of textile-products. SUMAK has expertise in yarn-path components& accessories. 2. IN AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRIES: Due to the competence in manufacturing precision sub-assemblies for textile-industry applications, the existing infrastructure and machinery, SUMAK has been successfully manufacturing components and sub-assemblies for the automobile- industries. The components are precision-machined. The sub-assemblies are produced& assembled out of precision-machined parts, forgings, tubular press-parts, sheet- metal press-parts and fabrication. 3. IN SPECIAL PURPOSE MACHINES: SUMAK has Designed, Developed& supplied SPMs( Special Purpose Machines ) for their own requirement. 1. Complete development of Computerized lathe along with necessary hardware& software. 2. SPM for Rotary welding 3. Twin Spindle Fine Boring machine 4. Horizontal fine boring machine(single spindle) 5.
