| About us | We noticed how our clients who were also participating in pay per click (ppc) campaigns were seeing their roi shrink around late 2004. In the words of one of our clients [with] ppc you always get a little less back than you put in. A great case for organic search engine marketing? Perhaps. We let it pass at the time. But something distressing happened that forced us to revisit this issue. Our internal audit process allowed us to track one of our employees who was using company time to commit ad sense fraud on his personal site. While we purged this cancer from our organization by summarily dismissing that employee, we found it useful to track this issue so that it never happens again. We found that such fraud is extremely rampant in India, Pakistan etc. And we thought of the bigger need for a product that could detect and eliminate it. The ppc advertising market is sized at $5 billion in 2005. Industry estimates are that 20% of that is fraudulent clicks. That amounts to a net loss of $1 billion to the advertisers. Either to the search engines due to below the belt competitors or to ad sense fraud. We saw a crying need for an industrial strength solution to the click fraud problem. Allow the fraud victims to fight back by collecting relevant data for google and yahoo. We therefore introduced a click fraud monitoring tool, zartective. Why sofizar is uniquely qualified to provide this solution? Part of it is natural, given our background in enterprise software, web metrics and our experience in the search engine marketing arena. But we would be lying to you, if we didn't mention our personal bad experience as victims of ad sense fraud as a motivation to eliminate this menace. We enjoy the thrill of the hunt and the use of our technical skills and domain knowledge to go after the bad guys. We are fascinated by the multidisciplinary technical challenge associated with keeping an ear to the ground and developing countermeasures as the threat evolves. In addition to our team of engineers and search engine optimizers, we are working on this problem with a strong theoretical foundation. Applying computer science, statistics, economics and behavioral sciences is just the start. Our unique solution entails the use of artificial intelligence, specifically neural networks.
