| About us | Sepallo Food Ingredients is the largest manufacturer of greens wheat grass, barley grass and alfalfa in Canada. We also produce high quality organic ingredients, blends and difficult to source items such as rhubarb fibre and spray dried honey. We are unique in Western Canada in that we offer a wide range of processing options and finished products to other manufacturers in the food and health industries. Sepallo owns a 15,000 sq.ft. facility in Kelowna, BC which offers dehydration, dry milling and blending, sprouting, process development and in house analysis. Our second facility is a spray drying plant located in Barrhead, Alberta where we produce a range of powders and liquid juice concentrates. Both facilities are Certified Organic and Kosher Certified. Sepallo manufactures most of what we sell, in order to assure our clients that we have monitored quality right from the field through processing all the way to packaging. We work with a small number of certified organic suppliers who meet our strict criteria for production and food handling. We have an in house lab in both of our production facilities and we adhere to HACCP production protocols. PORTFOLIO OF PRODUCTS AND INGREDIENTS Dehydrated Organic Fruits including raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, apples, rhubarb and other fruits native to Canada. We can and will process a wide variety of other fruits according to our customers needs. Where ever possible, we source Western Canadian raw materials, but we will import other materials such as citrus or tropical fruits as required. Dehydrated Organic Vegetables including carrots, broccoli, beets, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, spinach, red and green peppers, sweet potatoes and many others. We will also source and process non-organic vegetables if that is what our customers are looking for. Both our dehydrated vegetables and fruits are typically ground to 20 mesh, though they are also available diced upon request or ground into a fine powder for inclusion in drinks. Applications for these powders include nutrition bars, drink powders, soup bases, bakery ingredients, pasta additions and more. Blends Sepallo has developed a line of blends that provide our customers with quick solutions to some formulation challenges. This line includes vegetable pre mixes for use in vegetable bars or drinks, as well as a line of nutritionally colourful blends, which includes Antho BluesTM, Leafy GreensTM and Beta RedsTM. Soluble, Spray Dried Fruit and Vegetables Juices are not carried instock but are processed upon request, with a minimum volume of 3000 litres of liquid. This process results in a soluble, highly concentrated powder that can be used in drink mixes, nutritional capsules and foods among other applications. Soluble, Spray Dried Organic Greens including soluble barley grass, wheat grass and alfalfa juice powders. These greens are of unmatched quality. They are high in protein, chlorophyll and other nutritional properties. They are brilliant green in colour and they are organically grown in rich, fertile Canadian soil. Our soluble powders can be agglomerated, which means they are instantized to make them even more readily dispersible in water. Liquid Concentrates Sepallo processes and markets liquid concentrates in our Barrhead facility, working with both organic and non-organic fruits and vegetables as our starting material. These high-quality concentrates are produced upon request. SERVICES Sepallo offers custom processing in our Barrhead plant. Our knowledgeable operators and technical staff will work with your product development team to create innovative, high quality soluble products. We have dried a range of items including rhubarb juice, wheat grass, Echinacea, fermented soy and honey. |
