| About us | Sense/net portal engine 5.5 was designed to run integrated intranet, extranet and internet portals on a single infrastructure. This also stands true for logically or physically identical systems. Sense/net portal engine 5.5 operates in a heterogeneous environment. It can connect to any external application, should it run on unix, linux, mac, windows, mainframe or any specialized or custom built hardware. Content management system and document management is handled in a single product. Sense/net portal engine 5.5 serves web content management (wcm) and enterprise content management (ecm) functions at once. Modules: Cms, document store, forum, vote, check-in check-out, workflow, gallery, single sign-on.. Functional portlets of a typical intranet interface and more creative design elements of an internet portal are administered from one user interface and is served by one portal system. Sense/net portal engine 5.5 utilizes XML and xslt technology, so the presentation tier can be replaced by a few clicks without interruption in the portal services. Applications and content can be aggregated simultaneously with designing the presentation layer, which saves considerable time in portal development projects. The unique presentation motor of sense/net portal engine 5.5 supports wap or PDA content, and is also capable of displaying specialized content, such as pages readable by a screen reading converter software for the visually challenged. Sense/net portal engine 5.5 based systems are multilingual. XML based configuration files enable users to simply switch languages.
