Although it is now usual practice for companies to use agents from the country to which they want to export, STI will undertake to promote UK products to a dynamic network of consultants covering the majority of the worlds. We attempt to obtain market information and will offer to act as the clients agent for that nation for an agreed period of time usually 12 months with a six month notice of cancellation for either party of the agreement. Contracts usually specify the area into which the company wants to export, the price and terms the company is willing to accept for its products, the commission that will be paid to the agent and how long the agent will be used by the company. The agent will then go to the area designated and approach business or intermediaries, eg wholesale companies, to obtain orders for the company. A contract is signed with the buyer, after approval is obtained from the company, setting the price, guaranteeing delivery and setting out any modifications to the product for the local market. However the strength of using Sapentia Trade International does not stop there, we will undertake to handle export documentation, arrange transportation, provide an after-sales service and even assist in organising competitive finance packages specifically tailored to the buyers needs. Our services may extend to arrange overseas advertising and trade visits also the setting up of license agreements and local production facilities. There is a growing trend towards the free movement of trade, a report by Trade Partners UK mentioned in the Sunday Times 20th August 2000, this government-sponsored body reveals that Britain is squandering up to ?0 billion a year in export opportunities because of a lack of focus and poor business organization.
