Mazovian Dairy Co-operative
About us | In August 1995 the production of new types of cream cheeses named OSTROWIA was started at a new department. The cheeses are made in nine flavours: Yogurt, herbal, cream, dill, onion, garlic, paprika, horseradish and with chive. In 2002 the cheeses were awarded the EUROPRODUKT prize for "a high quality and excellent taste". In 1998, new equipment for reverse osmosis was installed which is now used for the thickening of whey; this make it possible to isolate valuable proteins from it. The major part of the produce of OSTROWIA Mazovian Dairy Cooperative - 60% of the total production volume - is accounted for by hard cheeses, manufactured according to new technologies with the use of modern equipment. Our plant produces the following types of hard cheese: - the Dutch type: Gouda, Edam, Family, Nadbuzanski, Podlaski, Wiejski, Ostrowski, Pulawski, Morski, - the Swiss type: Ostrower. A significant portion of the produce of OSTROWIA Mazovian Dairy Cooperative is accounted for by melted chesses. After the powdered milk department was opened in February 1999, the production of powdered milk, demineralised(40-45%)whey and ordinary whey was started. WPC 80 and permeat have been produced since July 2004. |
