Mahmood International established in 1990 in the harvesting and exportation of East African Blackwood to the Woodwind musical makers(Clarinets, Oboes, Piccolos, Scottish Bagpipes). From the off-cuts, our base of 140 local artisans produce carvings depicting the local tribes and wildlife. Our new product line consists of putting these carvings in a three-dimensional shadowbox. The frames are of an ethnic nature, we use up to six layers of matting and the quality of these shadow boxes are far superior to those replicate din China. Since we are the primary producer our quality and price cannot be matched by our competitors who tend to outsource their products. |
