| About us | Magnetron Technology Corporation Philippines commenced it s manufacturing operations in October 1996. Magnetron is a wholly own subsidiary of ElektronikGruppen BK AB (EGBK). EGBK was founded in 1951, at which time the company was marketing components for radio and TV applications. In 1985, EGBK was listed at Stockholm Stock Exchange, Sweden. Currently it has 19 subsidiaries in 9 countries with more than 600 employees. Business activities of EGBK are divided into 4 core areas : EG Electronic Components, EG Magnetic Technology Components, EG Communication and EG Production Technology. Magnetron is specialized in development and manufacturing of customized inductive components and fiber optic components and laser cut stencils for telecommunication, automotive , electronics and industrial applications. Design and Engineering It s a collaboration of local and Swedish Engineering team focused in development of existing and new products. Being a link between customers, whereby technical consultancy is provided to support product design. Environment Aimed to minimize environmental effect, through efficient utilization of resources. Environmental activities are an integral part of operations and a natural competitive tool. Less environmentally damaging processes and materials being introduced , i.e. production of solder paste stencils with low-energy laser cutting and clean manufacturing process, unlike conventional production methods that employ acids and photochemical. Magnetron is ISO 9002 certified and expected to accomplish ISO 14001 certification in quarter 4 year 2001. Information Technology The goal is to continuously improve IT usage in all processes in the organization and employees level by exploiting new technology and modern tools. Training Human resources are a central issue within the group. Internal and external training programs have been developed to increase competency of employees at all level. |
