| About us | We are hereditary weavers, established in 1974 to start Manufacture of Cotton&Artificial spun saris. In 1976, the GB Group was promoted to manufacture Power loom export fabrics. We are the pioneers in this field and the Group revolutionized the entire industry with innovative colours and designs. Within a short time, the Group made rapid strides and grew with own units for Yarn dyeing, Fabric finishing, and Garment Making etc. Our group of companies is now globally recognized as Manufacturers and Exporters of High class Yarn dyed woven fabrics and garments. THE MANAGEMENT GB Group is managed by Shri R. Venugopal, Chairman&Managing Director, who has about four decades of experience in this industry in various capacities. Recognizing his outstanding individual achievement in the textile industry and for his meritorious accomplishments in diverse fields of activities that immensely contributed for the Nation progress, he was awarded with the prestigious Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award-1999 by Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Finance Minister, Govt. Of India. He is ably assisted by other Directors who have vast experience in this field and 250 staff(No child Labour ) of high order. The professionalised management system adopted by the Group has made easier the implementation of ISO 9001:2000 QMS and the first unit that awarded in Salem. The products are made in accordance with the customers expectations and well known for high standard of Quality and Durability. THE PRODUCTS The Fabric Division has the infrastructure for a monthly production of 400,000 mtrs of cotton&blended Fabrics of Madras checks, Dobby, Honey Comb, Twill, Seer sucker, Spandex, Voile, Crepe and other varieties. The fabrics are manufactured in Power looms, Semi Automatic Looms and Automatic looms. The Garment Division has the capacity of 50,000 pcs per month of woven garments specializing in Dress shirts, Casual shirts, Formals, Fashion&Holiday Dresses, Work wears, Sleep Wear, Phyjamas, Trousers, Slacks, Skirts Boxer shorts for Mens, Ladies and the Kids wears also. OUR QUALITY STRUCTURE: -All the Raw Materials and the Production Processes are sourced in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 QMS Standards. -Eco Friendly Dyestuff such as Remazol&FN are used. -Modern production set-up with computerized Spectro Photometer for colour matching in cabinet and cheese dyeing. -Fabric Finishings such as Tumbler wash, Zero-Zero Finish, Drying range with Soft Feel&Special Finishings are done. -For on-line quality Internal laboratory with Modernized equipments are available and manned by Technically qualified Experts. -In house experienced Merchandisers, Production team and Artisans are continuously working to meet the buyer requirements. QUALITY UPGRADE -Textile Committee, Govt of India gives periodical training to upgrade and update quality level, to the Fabric Visual Inspectors and Laboratory Technicians.
