The company LUNA PLAST SRL was established in 1996. Since the very beginning our company has had a main object of activity the manufacturing and marketing of polypropylene woven bags. The Romanian market was at that time in continuous demanding but the bags made in Romania were not enough and of poor quality. From the beginning our offer was in a wide range both in sizes and from the destination point of view. But the production process was uncomplete because the bags were made of roll of polypropylene fabric by cutting and sewing. Due to an efficient marketing, the demand always exceeded the output of the plant and together with the fact that we couldn't control the quality of the fabric (which was imported), we couldn't ensure the quality of the bags, so, we have taken the crucial decision. The decision was to achive a complete tehnological line of producing polypropylene bags from the PP grade to the finished bag. The inquiry for the best option was short: Quality without compromises. Our option was then STARLINGERGMBH-AUSTRIA, the most technological up-to-date producer worldwide. After creating the infrastucture (the building, power supply, roads, etc. ) After achivement, instalation and start running of the production line in June 2001, the technological process have been and it is totally controled. From now on we can produce bags in the most wide range of colours, specific weight, having different warp/weft ratio, UV stabilising treatment, all according to the customer's needs. Also bags can be personalised by printing in one to six colours. We can say that there wasn't any customers' order which haven't been honoured no matter its difficulty. Nowadays our company produces about 34 millions of bags per month becoming one of the most important manufacturer on the Romanian market. Because such a huge quantity of PP woven bags couldn't be sold only on the Romanian market a significant quantity, about 40% of production, is destinated to the export. Looking permanently into the future, after building the production hall of 4.000 sq. M. Our company bought the terrain arround the hall in surface of 42.000 sq. M. So that nothing can stop the continuous future development of our company. Besides in order to welcome requirements of our customers, our company offers portable sewing closer bag YUK1 GK.26-1 A. Supplying the thread for sewing the mouth of the filled bags, our company offers to our clients all they need for closing bags and storing in the warehouse. Meeting the market demand, our company also offers shopping bags and raw material for producing shopping bags out of fabric of polypropylene in a wide range of dimensions and various colours.
