| About us | It is the only Indian company manufacturing its own resins, impregnating, moulding, machining and finishing through in-house resources, which include an Engineering shop for moulds and dies, hydraulic presses, impregnator plants,and resin reactors. The Heavy duty plastic Lamtuf engineering plastics are essentially solid, infusible materials, constituted of cotton fabric, or paper impregnated with phenolic resin, and subjected to high pressure and controlled temperature. By varying the type of reinforcement used and the type and proportions of resin, a whole family of grades are produced by Lamtuf, with properties tailored to meet specific needs, in accordance with relevant industry/ country standards. Lamtuf Plastics combine mechanical and electrical strengths with chemical and weather resistance, to result in a rigid, low weight, economical material, suitable for varied uses. In steel rolling mills, Lamtuf bearings, slipper pads and wipers are widely used for their cost effectiveness and durability. These products, with cotton fabric reinforcement, need be lubricated only with water, thereby cutting costs enormously. In textile industry, shuttles made from Lamtuf moulded shuttle blocks find vast applications in power looms, for silk and cotton.Components such as gears,lapspools,take-up bobbins, shift levers etc., are other popular products. In civil constructions, Lamtuf's paper phenolic film is used in the manufacture of shuttering plywood. This increases the life of ordinary plywood by 7 times, at a negligible additional cost. In stock & customised forms, Lamtuf lends itself to a variety of standard shapes required by the industry. These include sheets, moulded rods & tubes and trolly wheels. Custom built mouldings are also manufactured as per product specifications. Lamtuf products / materials with cotton fabric reinforcement are workhorse grades which are strong and tough, with excellent wear resistance and bearing properties.They are easily machinable, offer a range of quality finishes and high dimensional stability. If paper is used for reinforcement, the material is strong rigid and very economical. It serves as good electrical insulator and offers excellent machining and punching properties. The leader in India Lamtuf's special formulations have revolutionised the textile weaving industry and captured over 50% market share for products like Moulded shuttle Blocks &Textile Machinery Components. The Company commands over 60% of the market for Bearings and Slipper Pads. The Company processes 500 tonnes of material annually and has been singularly responsible for popularinsing the concept of fibre bearings, shuttle blocks and shuttering films, through the industry nationwide. Baked by its vast client base, nationwide network and years of experience, Lamtuf is today looking beyond phenolic laminates and products.
