Kerry Steel was founded in 1978 and is one of the Midwest's largest distribution and processing centers of coiled steel products. The company is ISO9002 and QS2000 certified. As a distributor Kerry provides critical inventory and delivery services for end users. Kerry Steel maintains withing its 3 manufacturing plants:9 slitters for processing coils up to 72" wide and 3/8" thick, mill to provide one pass qauge correction and 1 cut to length line. The company has the financial capital and available credit to take advantage of volume purchasing discounts which allows us to maintain an edge over our competition. Currently, Kerry Steel has more than 120,000 tons of coils, consisting of 30% cold rolled,60% hot rolled and 10% coated products. We have earned an industry wide reputation for efficient and reliable service to our many customers. Because of our lower cost structure, Kerry Steel is able to process steel more efficiently and in smaller quantities thatn would be economical for mills. This results into lower inventories, fewer material rejections, lower overall cost of material acquisiton and decreased manufacturing time and expense to our customers. Our in-house laboratory, which is A2LA accredited, we can test for mechanical properties, thirteen chemical elements, surface roughness, and coating weights, certifying the composition of your steel application. Kerry Steel's customers represent a diversified group of industries, some of which include the major automobile companies, steel tube manufacturers, structural steel users, rack and furniture manufacturers, metal stamping operations, steel door manufacturers, appliance and automobile parts suppliers, metal building producers and other steel warehousing and processing operations.
