| About us | HISTORY Gubre Fabrikalari T. A. S. Was found in 1953 pioneered by T. C. Ziraat Bank together with the partnership of foreign investment. In 1954, NSP (Normal Super Phosphate) production has started with the capacity of 100.000 MT/year at Iskenderun plant. Foreign partner "Fertilizer Corporation of America" has transferred its shares to Ziraat Bank and left the partnership in 1955. In 1961, Izmit Yarimca Plant has started its NSP (Normal Super Phosphate) production with the capacity of 100.000 MT/year. In 1968, the renovation was completed at Iskenderun plant and TSP (Triple Super Phosphate) production that contains higher grade of P2O5 (43-45%) has started. In 1974 Yarimca plant was also started the TSP production instead of NSP and a new phosphoric acid unit with the capacity of 75.000 MT/year was purchased for the plant. Installing new equipments, the TSP capacity was increased to 185.000 MT/year. In the second half of the 1978, Yarimca plant has started its NPK-1 fertilizer production with the capacity of 200.000 MT/per year. GUBRETAS was the first to use this new technology in Turkey and its products are presented to the Turkish farmers. "Soil Analysis Laboratories" were established at Yarimca and Iskenderun plants in 1985 in order to help the farmers to analyses their land and suggest the best fertilizing solutions. In 1986 a berth was established for the Iskenderun plant with the jetties and conveyor lines that would accommodate two 60.000 Dwt vessels. Therefore loading and discharging capabilities were increased. Since 1986 our company has joined the firms that are under the supervision of Capital Markets Board, accordance with the law number 2499. In 1989 new NPK-2 unit, using new technology, was completed and started to production. In order to do the sales and marketing, same year GUBRETAS Pazarlama and Terminalcilik A. S. Was established. In 1993 a new unit was purchased with the capacity of 1200 ton a day in order to do the packing of bulk fertilizers. In 1993 Ziraat Bank that owned the % 44.84 of the GUBRETAS shares has sold its entire share to Agriculture and Credit Cooperation Central Union on 17.06.1993. After this sale total share of Agriculture and Credit Cooperation Central Union has increased to % 83.85 GUBRETAS ceiling on capital for today is 85.000.000 TL and paid in capital is 22.498.572,9080 TL Present partners and their shares in capital; Turkey Agriculture and Credit Cooperation Central Union % 83,85 Agricultural Unions and Cooperation % 0,71 Public % 15,44 |
