| About us | Granitas currently operates at five granite quarries including two in Aksaray one in Bergama, Giresun and Kirklareli. At its own granite processing plant located in Bilecik, the company processes domestic granite blocks extracted from its own quarries, as well as the imported granites with a wide range of colours and textures. The company processes and offers project-specific granite products at its Bilecik plant which was established with the worlds latest granite processing technology and which is kept at the leading edge with a continuous investment programme utilizing improvements progress across the globe. Regarded as the most durable and prestigious building material today, granite is being demanded increasingly day by day in parallel with the progress experienced by the construction sector in Turkey. GRANITAS is the leader of the sector by shaping the granite used particularly in outer facing and flooring of modern buildings according to the projects of its customers. As well as marketing its annual production of 675.000 m2 within Turkey, meeting world-class standards, GRANITAS also exports to foreign markets such as Russia, Turkic States, England, France, Germany, Holland, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Romania, Albania, Macedonia, Indonesia and Iraq. Extending its 2003 investments into 2004, Granitas built new plants close to its quarries located in Bergama, Aksaray and Giresun increased its production capacity from 360.000 m2 upto 675.000 m2. With a view to get closer to its colleagues, the company has expanded its geographical coverage by opening new sale centers across Anatolia. Today, Granitas provides its services with sale centers in Afyon, Antalya, Bilecik, Bursa, Gaziantep, Izmir, Kirsehir and Ordu. Having invested in water-jets and many other specialist cutters, the company now performs decorative cutting, specific cutting, column and circular cutting, which makes it capable of producing many kinds of different products from natural stone. In order to be more active in the fields of block stone imports, exports and marketing, the company has founded branches in the UK and Romania plans to expand its organizational structure in 2005. |
