The group comprises of four main companies: Yogi real estate; Yogi international trading company; Emirates contracting company; and Emirates scaffolding industry LLC As an offshoot of Emirates contracting company (dubai), Emirates scaffolding industry (esi) has been a fairly new venture for the yogi group started on 2nd march 2004 in ajman, an another developing industrial emirate of UAE. Establishment of esi was a backward integration move undertaken by ecc to meet their growing needs for scaffolding materials in their ever-expanding construction activities, fueled more by the current construction boom in the Emirates. The management of esi is well cared by mr. Ranganath keshav kulkarni, (rkk) who has more than 20 years experience in Dubai in such activities, and he is with ecc for over a decade responsible for the phenomenal growth of the scaffoldings and equipments hiring division headed by him. He is ably assisted by a team of well-experienced and qualified professionals in discharge of his day-to-day functions and by the seasoned business acumen of mr. Ghansham j. Pagarani in taking strategic policy decisions. Sufficient skilled and semi-skilled labour is made available through recruitment channels. There is sufficient built-up area in the factory for accommodating office and workshop, apart from plenty of storage space both covered and open for storing raw materials and finished items. Organisation structure of esi: The managing director, mr. Ghansham. J. Pagarani is at the helm of affairs of the company but the general manager mr. Ranganath k. Kulkarni manages the overall functioning of the firm. He also heads a division of Emirates contracting company (ecc) a member of the parent group, engaged in hiring of scaffolding materials and equipments. Strategic and logistic decisions are taken by the managing director and general manager jointly. Weekly/fortnightly meetings are held by the two with other top management executives to review performance and to chalk out plans for further improvement. Mr. Srinivasan, the assistant general manager is responsible for the day to day working of the factory. He is having a dedicated production team headed by production manager mr. Velmurugan. The finance and administration manager is responsible mainly for the non- technical activities of the company in the areas of purchase, sales, accounting etc. However he oversees a part of qa, maintenance, and production planning too. As of now the general manager is looking after the functions of fam. |
