| About us | Each carving comes with a card that reads: Custom Carving By Ross This quality hand carved stone is made from the finest soapstone that originates from Brazil. Quarried like granite or marble, it is primarily made of magnesite, dolomite, chlorite, talc and iron(which creates magnificent coloration). Soapstone(Steatite) formed around 300-400 years ago from a molten state deep within the earth(making it a limited resource). Soapstone is an amazingly beautiful rock with a rich geological history. From this stone I carve the ancient tradtion of the celtic cross. Giving strong feelings of heretical and earthly roots.
