Container Inspecton Services.(Jamaica)
About us | Batteries would be packed on wooden palettes, approximately 50 batteries per palette, then shrink wrapped for export. We can use 20' high cube containers which would hold approximately 30 palettes per container, this would be approximately 21 mt per container. We can look at the possibility of filling the extra space in the container with loose batteries so as to maximize the shipment. Available tonnage,(batteries), will come from a massive clean up of all spent batteries in jamaica, which will involve our national environmental agency, our waste management agency, and all current exporters of batteries, who will come together to establish a central collection, packing, and shipping depot, for which i will be the exporter, as exporting batteries from jamaica will now only be exported under the basil convention. Please advise if your country is a signatory to the basil convention as there are documents which need to be completed, and agreements to be put in place. It is estimated that there are approximately 500,000 to 1,000,000 batteries to be collected here, approximately 7000 mt, and this project has top priority, we are expecting to accomplish this clean up as quickly as possible. In the meantime, i feel confident that approximately 10, possibly 20 x 20' or 40' containers,(approximately 500 mt) could be arranged almost immediately, this number however would have to be confirmed. C& f costs, photos of batteries, documents, including all terminal and other administrative charges will follow shortly. Should you have additional questions, please advise ASAP. |
