| About us | Our deposits possess large reserves of natural high purity sodium feldspar. Proven reserves contain about 95.7 million tons. Conventional open-pit mining operates at 4 major pits which work 12 months a year and yield premium grade feldspar with a minimum sodium content of 10 %. Total production has reached over 1.000.000 tons and is steadily increasing as well as improving in quality. Due to excessive demand from Europe's high quality ceramic producers, the flotation plant is expanded to a capacity of 90.000 tons per year. Cine Akmaden's feldspar grades are available in crushed sizings below 10 mm, as well as in finer sizes. We are proud of producing the worlds best Quality Floated Sodium Feldspar under 212 microns. The Floated feldspar of us is well known for its very low Fe2O3 (0.02%) ,TiO2 (0.05%) and high Na2O (11.2%) contents. Due to its consistency in high quality it is preferred by ceramics producers throughout Europe, and especially in Italy. The flotation plant has a capacity of 90.000 tons per year. This product is employed best in glazes, high quality tableware, sanitary-ware and advanced ceramics due to its high sodium, alumina and very low iron and titanium content. Ceramic grade feldspar contains less than 0.10% Fe2O3 and 0.2-0.3% TiO2 and is ideally suited for high quality ceramic ware, tiles and frits. The stable mineral content and low heavy-metal content secures uniform colors of the fired bodies. Pure white firing color and high brightness makes US101 as the ‘’best sodium Feldspar ever produced’’. Its reasonable cost and the high quality ensures further advantage to the manufacturers of ceramics, glass and other products. Quality Control begins with detailed geological evaluation of the deposit in advance of efficient mining and on site crushing, screening and stockpiling.
