In this very short time, Camtel has grown to become one of the key providers of imaging solutions in Taiwan. Our focus is on the rapidly growing desktop video-conferencing market and the affordable home video-conferencing solution. Improvements in digital telecommunication have greatly increased bandwidth and made the transfer of video and sound a practical reality. Moreover, the combination of faster and more powerful CPUs with falling PC prices has made the multi-media PC highly affordable for consumers. These two major revolutions have created the opportunity for video telephony and video-conferencing via the inexpensive public telephone network and Internet.
