Czarnikow has been active in the sugar market since 1861, and we operate out of a global network of 9 offices, between them covering all of the world's major importing and exporting markets. Our company offers a broad range of sugar market related services, including bespoke market information packages, price risk management consultancy services, the more traditional brokerage and trading operations as well as futures market execution. One of our strengths is our merchanting activities, and we are the world's largest shippers of sugar in containers, with a global network of industrial user relationships that we service. We move more than a quarter of a million tonnes of sugar in containers to industrial users in Africa and the Middle East alone and this is where our full supply chain management expertise, right through from price hedging vehicles in months or years prior to shipment, to just-in-time delivery of physical sugar on a weekly or monthly basis, is employed. In the Far East we are the largest shipper of sugar in containers out of Thailand, accounting for as much as a quarter of all Thai containerised sugar exports, and we also have strong and long-established relationships with all of the region's other sugar-exporting countries. |
