PEDRO LUIS MARTINEZ, S. A. Date back to 1870, when the first commercial cellar in Jumilla was established for trading wines in bulk. The cellar has experienced a number of changes throughout its long history. The most important one occurred in 1998, when the company shareholders (all of them descended from one of the 3 co-founders) decided to start bottling their own wines under the brand Alceno. Since then, a careful selection of raw materials and a special good taste in the elaboration of coupages from Monastrell, Tempranillo and Syrah grapes have made it possible for the winery to achieve numerous awards in both national and international contests and, what is most important, the acknowledgement by the consumer of finest wines.
