(Alupuram Works) along with his family and friends started the company with the aim of processing and marketing consistent and reliable quality of ISNR series of Natural Rubber, thus providing employment opportunities to almost 130 skilled people. Current Business Activities. The firm started with processing Natural Rubber Field Coagula into Estate Brown Crepe. Since Crepe rubber was being progressively replaced with either good quality Technically Specified Rubber/Block Rubber (TSR/BR for short) or RSS 4 Grade Rubber serious thoughts and investigations Were initiated to convert the existing crepe mill into a Block Rubber Factory at the insistence of the Rubber Board. After detailed investigations and in-depth analysis it was decided to set up a Nine Metric Tonnes-a-day Technically Specified Rubber (ISNR Series of Natural Rubber) Manufacturing Unit using Field Rubber Coagula available in plenty in the country. The ISNR factory started commercial production on 1 April,1995 and within a short period of six months, all the Tyre Companies in India using TSR/ISNR/Block Rubber approved the unit as a reliable and regular source of TSR, after detailed technical audits, inspection of the facilities, manufacturing process and quality of the personnel manning the different Sections in the Factory. The companys product commands a premium in the local market and it has exported goods worth US$ 0.5 MIO in the last twenty-four months to Nepal. Now almost 80% of the output is consumed by the leading Tire Companies, namely M/S. MRF Ltd. M/S. J. K. Industries Ltd. M/S. Apollo Tyres Ltd. Vikrant Tyres Ltd, Goodyear India Ltd. South Asia Tyres Ltd and Bridgestone Ltd. Thus, one can safely say that almost all Tires running now on Indian Roads has a bit of ABC Rubber in it. And ISNR in the form of Blocks is the Natural Rubber of the future as is happening all Over the world. |
